Pricing: How much do you Charge?

Hourly Rate Pricing is my standard: $80 /hr. for onsite labor (1 hour minimum) & material procurement. Hourly Labor is billed in 15 min increments (from site arrival to departure) and is detailed on the invoice. Weekends may be additional charges. Only pay for the exact amount of labor you receive!

Estimate / Bid Pricing option: (upon request): Customized Project estimate is provided via email after free consultation to review job specifics in detail. While I work hourly, I can provide materials costs and a ballpark labor estimate range. (Noting that ultimately, the customer will be invoiced based on ACTUAL labor and materials required to complete the commissioned scope of justify, regardless of estimate figures)

*Note that hourly rate pricing is often a more cost-effective pricing model for customers, as most contractor project estimates include an additional 30%+ labor and materials premium to account for unforeseen project complications, regardless of whether they actually occur.

Additional Considerations:

Standard Material Markups: Need-A-Handyman Services NEVER charges a percentage markup on job materials. A 1-hour labor is charged regardless of time spent shopping for materials (most contractors charge 30% markup). 100% of job materials estimate due at contract signing, but customer will only be billed for actual material cost (receipts will be provided with final invoice) Any over-payment of materials will automatically be applied towards labor costs.

No Service Call Trip Fee inside Core Area: No additional service call fees if you are located within Need-A-Handyman Services Core Service Area. Service call charges outside of the Core Service Area will be assessed per the trip. (See map of core service area).

What type of Payments do you Accept?

My preferred method of payment is Check or Cash, but I can also accept all major Credit Cards.
Pay-Pal Zettle, Point of Sale system includes a standard fee for each transaction of 2.29%-3.49% plus a 0.09 USD. Fees are subject to change. Please notify me at the time of service if you intend to pay by Credit Card.

I also accept Venmo, Cash App, G-Pay and Samsung Pay.

Will you take on my small projects / tasks?

ABSOLUTELY, multi-small projects are my specialty! I LOVE hanging pictures, fixing a loose handle, pressure washing your patio, repairing torn screens, and thousands of other random tasks on your to-do-list!
The only thing to note is that my minimum service offering is 1 hour of labor.

What kind of projects DON’T you do?

1) I am unable to perform work on ladders extending above 1 story height, as my business insurance policy specifically prohibits.
2) I do not bid on large remodels or new construction projects. Need-A-Handyman Serv. Is a 1-man operation.
3) I do not do any new construction wall framing or hanging/taping/mudding new drywall. I DO drywall repairs.
4) I avoid projects requiring specialty licensed trade involvement. I will do my best to connect you to a licensed professional who can help with your project if I am unable.

Note: As a Registered Ma Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) I’m able to refer you to a subcontractor for your specialty trades needs when necessary. However, my business model is to provide only services where I can personally deliver the work.

Warranty:

Yes, all Need-A-Handyman Services craftsmanship is warrantied for 1 year from the date of invoicing. This warranty guarantees homeowner protection from faulty workmanship and defective materials due to noncompliance with building standards.
